When a high school teacher is arrested for a crime he did not commit, one usually would think that disgruntled students set him up. In this case, however, the police suspect other.
A Fullerton high school history teacher who was jailed this week when police -- acting on a tip -- found a shotgun and marijuana in his car in the school parking lot was actually the "victim of an elaborate setup," police said Thursday.
Investigators are now convinced that Gregory Abbott, 31, of Placentia, who has taught at Sunny Hills High School for seven years, is innocent and was actually a victim, said Sgt. Mike MacDonald of the Fullerton Police Department.
Detectives want to talk to Abbott's estranged wife and a male friend. MacDonald declined to identify the pair, calling them "persons of interest at this time" and not suspects.
I am so glad that this matter has been cleared up. There is nothing worse then being accused of a crime you did not commit.

It's great that the Fullerton cops were able to GET that this guy was being set up. It's not like that in Long Beach.
In LBC a guy wanted revenge on his x and he planted email and a cell phone at her place. he used her credit cards to set her up using a spoof phone service so he could fake caller ID and pretend she was calling him, the little whinny baby started filing false police reports, ... they sent email to his work address and the stupid Detective (Donald Wood) actually believed she was doing this, not because he had any proof just because the guys x-wife, a hag crack whore, kept at him getting "hysterical" until he arrested an innocent woman.
Vengeful, disgusting and dirty cops in the LBC.
The ex-wife loser Denise Pohl filed 2 restraining orders against this guy, then for the sake of his case against his x a woman the x-wife was jealous of for years, she now tells this stupid cop she made up all the allegations of violent abuse she once claimed. Trying to make him out to be a Good Guy!

it didn't turn out so good for the LB woman, she was threatened with 14 years of Jail by the idiots at the Prosecutors office. Had a horrible attorney named Bruce McGregor and then after she fired him she hired another idiot named Robert L. Miller of Santa Ana. This guy is Stupid, lazy, and a liar he didn't give a damn about her case. He did nothing to help defend her and to prove that this guy is a psychotic stalking freak
in LBC if it's in your car, or your home, it's yours, and you can't do anything about it. You are guilty and these idiots will never believe anything otherwise,
they have never heard of a SET UP.
It's a myth, a fairytale that doesn't happen, not in the LBC.
